Calling all Nurses! Let us know what you think of the BPS.

Are you or do you work with nurses working in the field of pain management?

One of the British Pain Society‘s key strengths is its multidisciplinary membership. This allows the society to reflect the multidisciplinary nature of pain management and is important in maintaining the role of BPS as a key organisation in the field of pain. However it is important that the society ensures that it meets the needs of all its members. The biggest professional group in the BPS membership, after anaesthetists, is nurses. The council currently has two nurse members Dr Eloise Carr and Dr Nick Allcock and until recently the Newsletter was edited by Ruth Day.

We want to ensure that the BPS is meeting the needs of its nurse members. We therefore want to hear nurses’ views of what they want from the BPS and how we can attract more nurse members. So this is your chance to let us know what you think!

Please click the link below to fill the survey online. It only takes a few minutes. Please take the time to complete it. The closing date for entries is the 30th September 2008.

Alternatively, you can download and print a paper version of the survey and complete it offline (a copy is included in the autumn edition of Pain News). You can fax the questionnaire back to the BPS or return it in the post. We will also be sending the questionnaire to members via email. If you are not a nurse please pass the questionnaire on to any nurses who work with you in the field of pain.

We look forward to hearing your views. The results will be reported in the newsletter and will be used to inform decisions about the future direction of the society.
