British Journal of Pain (BJP) is the official journal of The British Pain Society.
The British Journal of Pain is a JCR, peer-reviewed journal with an Impact Factor of 2.8, updated on 17 June 2026, covering the full spectrum of the multidisciplinary management of pain.
The journal, published by the British Pain Society with Sage, is focussed on both practicing healthcare professionals and researchers in the field of pain and its specialty areas. BJP currently publishes six times per annum (plus the one issue of ASM abstracts), and the current Editor in Chief, is supported by two Associate Editors.
Positions Vacant
We hope to recruit additional Associate Editors as we have current vacancies. We also keen to strengthen out Editorial Board membership. We are especially keen to hear from psychologists, physiotherapists and nurses. Please contact here for further information.
