All Wales resources for pharmacological management of pain - now available

Following endorsement by the All Wales Medicines Strategy Group (AWMSG) in September 2022, the ‘All Wales resources for pharmacological management of pain’ documents are now available on the AWTTC website.
The resources include an analgesic stewardship guidance document and documents advising on the pharmacological management of pain. The resources update and replace the previous ‘Persistent Pain Resources’.

AWMSG aims to encourage the prescribing of medicines that offer the best health outcomes improving the quality of life for patients living in Wales. The overall aim of the ‘All Wales resources for pharmacological management of pain’ is to to improve patient outcomes, reduce analgesic?related harm and promote cost-effective use of analgesics to provide optimal pain management.
