Pain UK & the British Pain Society Announce Poster Prize Winner at Annual Scientific Meeting

Pain UK and the British Pain Society are delighted to announce the winner of the Joint Poster Prize, presented at this year’s British Pain Society Annual Scientific Meeting (ASM). This year marks the inaugural joint Poster Prize delivered in partnership between Pain UK and the British Pain Society, reflecting a shared commitment to advancing excellence in pain research.
The award recognises outstanding original research in chronic pain, celebrating excellence in scientific quality, innovation, and clarity of presentation.

Poster title: Prioritising migraine prophylaxis in East London primary care
This year’s winning poster stood out for its strong scientific approach, clear methodology, and potential to contribute meaningfully to the understanding and management of chronic pain in primary care.
The Poster Prize highlights the importance of showcasing high-quality research within the national pain community and supports the continued development of emerging and established researchers.
As part of the award, the winner will receive:
• Complimentary registration to the next British Pain Society ASM
• A Joint Pain UK & British Pain Society Certificate of Excellence
• Recognition across both organisations’ communication channels
We would like to also congratulate Dr Hollie Birkinshaw for winning second place with her Poster: How does pain-related distress change over time for people with short-term musculoskeletal pain?
